He has got nearly 20 years of experience in both teaching and research in various engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu. His field of researches are RFID in Biomedical Applications, Internet of Things, Wireless Sensor Network and Biomedical Signal Processing. He published 50+ papers in international journals and conferences. Guiding 9 PhD scholars and guided more than 100 U.G and P.G. projects so far. One of his student project won IEEE best project award in 2016. He has completed consultancy project worth of Rs. 3.2 Lakh in RFID based vehicle tracking and livestock monitoring. Based on his outstanding research in the field of sensor applications, IFM electronics sponsored various range of industrial sensors worth of Rs. 10 Lakhs.

His main focus is on to develop a monoclonal antibody based diagnostic kit for the male infertility diagnosis. He had received a number of international awards, to specific, he received Prof. Moudgal Young scientist award from ISSRF society, best researcher award for consecutive six years at VIT university, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam gold medal award from GEPRA society, STA 2018 award, and DST young scientist award for Govt. of India.
